Dear
Loltu,
Your
article is very great it is not your first time in making timely
needed appropariate assesment of our common affairs. I do remember
your unforgatable advise and political guidance in "The Kindling
point #29-33 1992".
It
must be clear to all concerned parties ,that there is no peace,
development and regional stablity in the Horn without the liberation
of Oromia in the sooner or leater they will realise this crystal
clear fact. The term liberaion of Oromia also must not be understood
in a very narrow way but as a source of apotencial heuman and natural
resources that evry oppresive abyssinian tapping for its dairty
game to be king of kings in that region. I sincerely appriciat this
article and request you to put out such educative article frequently
to let know the friends and enemies of our peole our allround posation
,what unites and divides us?, and how we chart our strategical relation
on equal basis and approch to each other for the benifit of athe
common.

I wish
all Oromos will understand in the way you have explained; this is
what exactly these Abisinians did in the past (during the communist
regime) Many of them died in the same place(Barentu, Keren, etc.)
23 years ago , it would have been very interesting if we could be
able to ask every Oromo family. Our family lost 7 of its own. Your
article is a very hard fact, it should bring those Oromos not awared
sensible; we must not deny our God given freedom and destiny." Let
us go for it"

Dear
Loltu, Thank you for your excellent analysis. In your article you
have bravely exposed the hidden agenda of the TPLF behind its deadly
war project. Once again at this historical point in time, like its
predecers, the Ethiopian regime is inhumanely massacring thousands
of oppressed people, presumably Oromos, just to stay little longer
in power. More than any time, beyond any reasonable doubt it should
now be clear to Eritreas that the only guarantee for their peace
and prosperity is to recognize the legitimate cause of Oromo and
other oppressed people in that empire and to stand with them against
the regime. We as oromos have to work really hard to expose the
evil behind the screen to international community and to all other
concerned parties. I appreciate your initiative.

My
name is Lakkii Bilisumaa Kootuu. You have explained it! as you have
the language and the position to say so, but I am still handicapped.
YAA BULTU DUBBIINII! Your article has no defect and doesn't need
any paraphrasing, but it only needs peace loving, humanitarian based,
and some one who tells to Abyssinian rulers that Oromoos and other
Southern peoples are all human beings and hence need the right that
a man deserves.

As
an Eritrean,my first choice was to see a united, deomocratic and
peaceful Ethiopia. Not an Empire Ethiopia dominated by minority Tigreans. My
chice was only a dream.Because in a country like Ethiopia democracy
and peace is an impossible situation.Look the 3000 year of freedom
.
Even
though the way you put it to finding peace is not easy, it is the
sole determination of the Oromo people. We Eritreans need one thing
from Ethiopia."peace in our neighbouring Ethiopia". The Tigreans
will break from Ethiopia sooner or later as long as there is a resistance
from inside.Thier plan to eliminate the Eritrean government is totally
crushed. Then the next step is the determination of the Oromo people. If
unity encourages war and intimidation on other nations,in this case
i absolutely opposes it.As the Americans have got a relif after
the collapse of the USSR,the horn of Africa will attain peace only
if the Ethiopian people are free to express themselves to build
a none totalitarian society.
For
the Oromo people it is thier choice . They are the majority of the
population. thier suffer under the Tigrean rulers is only temporary,
at the end they are the winners. But how will handle the situation
will not be easy.Otherwise as you said Meles's government is killing
to birds with one stone. For Meles 300,000 none Tigrean solders are
a potentioal danger to his power and will not allowed to see these
number survived.Meles fears his owen solders more than the Eritreans.Meles
will not let the solders go back to thier villages.

I find
this analysis interesting, and factually convincing to a sober mind.
I would however like to suggest a title change, i.e a non-tigryian
factor, instead of only the "Oromo factor". Thanks for speaking
my mind.

Dear
friend,
I absolutely
agree with your comments all over. I am an Eritrean, I could not
agree more for every phrase in your comments. But mistakes happen,
as an Eritrean I feel guilty for what we did to the Oromos to please
the blood gangs of Tigrai and it haunted us and will continue to
do so. But I assure you, as you that it Eritrea is independent now
not in 1993. It will also remain independent with its head high.
But its close relationship with the Oromos should be the final solution
to its problem and hence independent Oromia with finfini as its
capital. We are longing to see the demise of the Tigrain power and
free Oromia and dismantling of mother Ethiopia, rather mother of
famine, Aids, misery and naked poverty.

I just
wish you have written this article a year ago, two years ago. It
would given people(real people of the world) the facts on the table.
Please continue your efforts to make sure that as many people as
possible in the west and everywhere possible to know the facts.
It
is indeed one the biggest crimes committed with the full the knowledge
of and support of the US. No body can argue with the fact the US
can influence the OAU and the UN. The US could have stopped this
bloodshed of biblican proportions with just a phone call. Thomas
C. Mountain has put it clearer than any one. For the US, it has
acheieved its goal too. To make Eritrea dependent one way or the
other. After all it is Eritrea that had tried to break the horrible
cycle of dependency even as far as saying 'Aid is more dangerous
than Aids for Africa'.
African
countries collectivley pay around ten million dollars each day only
on interest to West. The new kid on the block, the youngest nation
in Africa , did not want none of this hence the punishment using
the 'The sick man of Africa' as Thomas kennely once put it describing
Ethiopia. It just seems like the perfect plot seen from the eyes
of the TPLF and the US with its World Bank and IMF garbage. They
both gain, paid for by thousands of young lives and millions of
innocent civilians.
Just
look at the facts below
Ethiopia:The
sick man of Africa
300,
000 people (14 year to 40 years of age) dying of Aids each year
and increasing
More
tha 10 million people facing starvation 100,000 plus killed in the
war and God knows how many wounded
More
than 1 million people displaced because of Ethiopia's invasion Ethiopia
holds the world record for the highest number of Joarnalist in prison
or disappeared
Serious
human rights violations and the expelling and robbing of innocent
people
Breaking
every rule under the sun including UN resolutions and others
Buring
of the most precious forest in the rich part pf Ethiopia
The
killing of and intimidation of voters
Shooting
of a passenger airlines
Bombing
of civilians
The
list goes
Is
it not amazing how all this can be allowed in this day of age. If
the UN can not act on matters like this then what hope is there
for the future ? I think there is, we must work harder to educate
oridinary citizens of the world the realy story. There must be a
public outcry which will put pressure on the politians to stop thier
crimes against humanity. It exposes their dirty tricks. In end we
shall win as the people of the Horn of Africa deserve a break.

Mr.
Loltu, I came across this wonderful article while I happen to look
for news on the Ethio- Eritrean conflict. Of all articles and writing
I read for the last two years, I confess, this is the best writing
I ever read. Please keep on writing and I would love to read if
you had other articles that you posted before.
With
great regard,
Thank
you.

Dear
the Oromians!
I understand
the cause you are trying to promote. That being a sufficient cause,
I don't believe that talking for Dictator Issayas and his wolf followers
would make sense to the cause you are trying to promote. Stay away
from the shabby little hyena of the horn of Africa.
I am
one of the Ethiopians who wholeheartedly understand the greivances
you try to air across the region. But, believe me without the hyenas,
the people of Ethiopia and Eritrea would have been at peace supplementing
each other. The more you play with hyenas the greater the chance
to lose your lives soon or later. Thats's what hyenas are for.
